I've never had that problem but I'd say once you "break it in" it should stop. A three month old controller always plays better than a shiny new one to me. mmhmm.

If it doesn't stop, try some WD-40.

I guess I could see that.

I must be too used to Nintendo products. Ya know... working without a hitch from minute one.

Also. Totally didn't want to grease up that controller yet.

Ah, that's crazy. I think the XBox 360 has an amazing controller. I hope they replace it for you, because that's lame.

Wow... So Xbox customer support is dumber than I expected.

I specifically said that my controller was squeaking...

They told me my CONSOLE was making a noise because when I loaded a disc the fan comes on and that's nothing to worry about.

I really do like the controller, though. I think it's pretty comfy and the layout is pretty good. The only things I wish I could change are the ABXY configuration (I'm still used to the Japanese/Nintendo way) and the D-pad.

I've heard that you can make the Dpad substantially better just by opening the controller up and trimming some of the rubber (or something like that...). I've never had the initiative to try though.

Haha, I was thinking about it, but there's so many XBLA games to look at and get that I just went with what I thought was the most obvious. The Time-Rewindin'-Potion will have to wait for next time.

Oh, I've been sold ever since I first heard about it. But, I'll still grab the demo, 'cause I didn't know there was one, and I totally want to try it out.
