| Peeps who live in So Cal Is the Fender Museum in Corona worth going to (remember, I am a Fender guy)? I'm down here in LA temporarily and my wife is coming for a visit over the weekend and was looking for stuff to do with her while she's here. Any other suggestions are appreciated and it doesn't have to be music related. Thanks... |

If you wanted to say, do lunch on Saturday... just PM me.

| I never went to the Fender Museum so I can't comment.
If you've never been to the corner of Sunset and Gardner in W. Hollywood, you need to go. The flagship Guitar Center is there and it's got a killer vintage room in the back. They also have the Rock Walk of Fame out front.
There are a few other stores to see there, too, but not like there was in the '80s and early '90s.
If Black Market Music is still alive, it's worth a visit. It's on La Cienega south of Sunset (maybe south of Santa Monica Blvd, I forget).
Keep heading west and spend some time in Santa Monica and Venice. Look at the interesting people, the side shows, the homeless, the skaters, etc...
Head north and visit the beaches of Malibu and stop at the Starbucks in Trancas Beach, maybe see a movie star (I saw Linda Hamilton there...she smiled at me).
A drive up to the Griffith Observatory is a must-do while in L.A.
If it's a clear day, you can see the sea. |

I'm staying in Santa Monica on the beach until the end of the month, so I'll have to hit West LA Music before we move on to Ontario. We will be heading up the coast - what about Paradise Cove restaurant on the beach in Malibu? |

Weird, since I was a fan of the Rockford Files when I was growing up...
I did spend a lot of time at Zuma and Point Dume, though.
El Coyote is a good, cheap Mexican place on Beverly Blvd, near La Brea. A morbid fact: that's where Sharon Tate had her last meal before Charles Manson and his gang did their evil deeds.
Do you have any Saturday eves or Sunday mornings free? If you haven't been to Christian Assembly church yet, I recommend that you go. That's Tommy Walker's church (and my old home church) and it's an awesome place to go and celebrate Jesus.
It's on Colorado Blvd. in Eagle Rock, just east of Glendale.
West L.A. Music didn't do much for me.
McCabe's, otoh, is an L.A. icon. They're right there in Santa Monica. |

Thanks again... |
