| Well, it's Tuesday and I'm already ready for the weekend. I stayed up until about 1:30 or so reading this morning (not for class either) which leads me to being really tired because I had to get up at 6:45 in order to eat and get ready for class. Not a wise choice on my behalf. Now I'm sitting in the library waiting until it is time for me to go tutor kindergarten. I'm down to my final two trips there. It's kind of saddening too. I've been in the same place for four years and now it's coming to an end. I guess it's a sad reality that graduation is truly upon me.
Some good news is that I found out that I don't have to take my business law exam. When they set the schedule for this semester they cut out the dead week between exams and graduation. Seemed like a smart move at the time only now the senior grades have to be in by noon on Tuesday, May 4th or whatever day that is. Everything seemed alright, but there are exams that occur after that so some seniors have exams after the time that grades are due. This has lead to confusion because now everyone is having to maneuver the exam schedule around to finish exams for the seniors before this time. I was given the option of opting out of my final in business law and taking an A- for the class. The professor and I figured it up and I would have to have a 100 on my exam to get an A in the class because even a 99 would land me at an A-. I think I made the smartest move. This way I don't have to worry about studying for the exam.
Now it's time for the bad news. I started looking at housing a couple of nights ago. Let me just tell you it sucks. There is no other way to put it. I've looked at apartments and houses for rent and the cheapest apartment I've seen is about $350-400 a month. An average house rent goes for $700-800. That led me to looking at just purchasing a house, but all the ones of moderate size for a new college graduate are running about $120-150k around here. That's just crazy. There is no way I can afford a $1,000 a month house payment and expect to pay my bills. Even in the accounting field (where everyone assumes there is big money) it takes a while to make more. I would like to find something sometime soon, but we'll have to see.
I'm praying for guidance in this and setting a date for the wedding. It's really stressful and I'm realizing that life truly does suck having to pay for things.

| Matthew 5:24-25 is like, the best part of the bible to read when you are worried about the necessities of life, and the money to pay for them. I'm graduating high school this year, and I'm really worried about finding affordable housing, and I've got next to 0 support from the family, seeing as how they don't really support my christianity (I'm going for a degree in ministry) and someone told me to read that passage, and it made me feel a whole lot better

Although I guess I should clarify. It's not like I'm actually worried, because I know God will provide. I'm just angered that it sucks that it costs that much.

| Fairly long day today at work. Well long isn't the word for it, but rather slow. I have a lot of work to do before the end of the semester and I should be using the time I have now to work on it, but I'm not. I guess that means I'm going to have to work on it later. Although, my main project for tonight is a group presentation on Enterprise Rent a Car for my management class tomorrow. We have the case, we just have to present it. That'll consume most of my evening. Oh, and I finished up the book I was reading last night.

| you found an apartment for $350/month? that is amazing. I don't know what salaries are like out where you are, but that is dirt cheap compared to out here. "cheap" is about $500 for a single room in a house, or a tiny one-room studio. normal apartments run from about $750-1500, depending on how many bedrooms there are.
God will come up with something truly awesome for you guys. =) |

This is why I never really worry/argue (except for that stupid conversation in CPF, which the only reason I'm compelled to share my point is probably because I'm from the D) about the economy, politics, or whether or not my Dad will have a job, because I know that God will provide and he'll always be there for me.
Besides, what fun is worrying? |

| Well it's my last day of work as a part-time employee. I come back on the 18th as a full-time employee. It's a bittersweet moment. I will miss the ability to not work all the time, but I am thankful to have a job. I've only got two more papers to write in order to finish up my undergraduate career. One is due Monday by noon and the other by 4:30 p.m. so I have plenty of time, I just need to actually do them. Oh, and I've officially been accepted into a Graduate program. If everything goes according to plan I will start those courses in July. I have a wake to attend tonight so my update will be brief. I'll explain more about that later.

| Nothing much new to update other than I have sat around for two days and not accomplished a thing. All my work was due on Monday so I turned it in and officially wrapped up my undergraduate work. Now I sit and wait for Thursday and graduation practice. I think I'm supposed to be headed out tomorrow with one of my best friends. Who knows what we'll do, but it should be nice.

In other news we were planning to go fishing today, but because of the rain we're having to postpone. We're going to try again for next week. Hopefully it won't be raining then. Today we're just going to meet here in about an hour and go from there. It doesn't help because the other best friend is out of town or else we could have all been together. Oh well, that's just how life goes.
I think tomorrow is supposed to be the last day of rain, which will be good. It needs to be sunny Saturday so we can have graduation outside. If not, we're limited to how many tickets we can get (right now I have the five that the college gave each senior) and I need one more.

| It's been raining here almost nonstop since Sunday, and it's been making me upset.
I hope it stops for your grad! |

| Got back from Baltimore Thursday, my sister graduated with an Associate's degree yesterday, and I got burnt to a toast today. Pretty uneventful. I have some stories to tell about my trip, but that'll have to wait. I don't have that much time tonight.
I am really horrible at this journal thing. Of course, it could just be that I don't think my life is all that interesting. Regardless, I'm tired since we mowed today and am ready for bed.
