| Well this has been an interesting week. My aunt (my mother's sister) passed out and fell into the floor Wednesday. She was rushed to the hospital and through a series of events they decided that a pace maker needed to be implanted in her body. Needless to say she moved from the local hospital to the best heart hospital we have within our small area on Thursday morning. Thursday evening her heart starting failing and they had to give her the paddles twice before they could even start on the procedure. Everything went well and things seem to have settled down now.
I found out this morning at like 7:57 when I was pulling into the parking lot at the office that one of my best friend's wife was going into labor with their child (he is the drummer in my band). I stopped by to see them on my lunch hour so that was nice. Anyway, the child was born around 7 o'clock tonight. I'm going back to see the family and the baby boy tomorrow morning. Everyone is doing fine.
I got a new guitar today. I'll post pics if you all really want them. Oh, and tomorrow I'm going to the local music shops to look for PA gear. This is going to be interesting as I really have no clue where I need to start. I'm just looking at a lot of options right now because of the two stores I've been in thus far, they've both offered me too different opinions. I've also got to be at my college in the morning for an accepted students preview day. Alpha Phi Omega is going to show up and hopefully recruit some students to our college and fraternity. Tomorrow evening I am going to this ballroom dancing thing that our college does. It wasn't my choice, but my fiance wanted to and I promised her back in January that I would go to one and tomorrow is the last one. Finally, Sunday I am working on the House of Hope with my fraternity to help with the build which is going through Habitat for Humanity so it's all good.
I think that gives an update of what's happened within the past few days. I've got two tests next week as well as a paper due Monday.

| Hey...I decided to stop by and visit your blog, as you've posted several times in mine.
Do you have any Easter plans? |

| Welcome to my journal. Nope, no Easter plans. I have to work Friday, but I get the day off from school as well as Monday. Monday I'm not working, even though I could. I figure I may as well enjoy the few free days I have before graduation.
In other news, it's brief tonight because I have an Advanced Accounting test tomorrow that I'm a little confused on. All this about the upstream and downstream sale of inventory and how to account for it using the equity method is getting to me. There are too many terms and too many situations to memorize. Oh, and that doesn't even include the noncontrolling interest part of the two chapters that's going to be on the test. I feel a little more comfortable with that though.

| I am indeed graduating from college on May 9th. I'm excited, yet saddened that this part of my life is now over. I think I'm getting old. After all, now it's time to start working 40 hours per week, which I am not going to like.
Oh, and I failed the Advanced Accounting test I had today. Alright, I probably didn't fail it, but it's going to be pretty bad. I know I missed quite a few of the problems just because I didn't study the right things. I hate when you're told what to study and yet I still miss it somehow. Oh well, there's still a final left. Hopefully I can do better on it.

| So you have exactly a month before you graduate. So is advance accounting hard?

Advanced Accounting isn't exactly hard, just a lot of things to memorize. Up to this point we've focused on subsidiary and parent companies' consolidated financial statements. The test today dealt with the upstream and downstream sale of inventory and how to defer the profit from one year into the next if there was inventory that was sold but left sitting at the year end. Oh, and we had some problems where we sold land.
In other news, I've been thinking about picking up another amp.
I'm running out of room here in my room, but I think I'd like something to compliment my Mesa. I was thinking something small along the lines of the new Vox series, a Blackheart, or maybe a Blackstar. Maybe I'll ask for one for graduation. Of course, there are other things I'd like to have to, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see. I can't forget about the P.A. gear I need to be buying. I've come to the conclusion that it'll be better for me just to buy it rather than waiting on everyone to pull their money together. Plus, this way if anything ever happens, I'll own it and it'll be a clear decision who gets to keep what.

| Four day weekends are good. I just got home today and found out my kids have a four day weekend so I'm stoked. What's your major -- what line of work will you be in? |

I currently work at a mid-size coal company. We employee about 1,000 miners. So that's my current line of work. Who knows where I'll be years from now.
Have fun on your time off with your family. It seems as if our schedules never work out any more.

I'm anxious to finish school, get a job, and move on in life. However, I'm not really wanting to leave this part of my life. It's kind of like high school. You want it over until it's actually time. Oh well, it's coming so I'll have to accept it.
Happy Easter everyone.

| Wow, that's a pretty heavy major. I don't think I have the brains to take on anything like that.
I know how you feel about going on with your life....i graduate from high school this year...and i'm so ready for it to be over and done with....but at the same time, i'm not ready to go on.
I think we are all just getting old. |
