| The wallpaper has officially been destroyed. Well, at least the largest portion of it. Now, I just have to finish getting a little bit of it off the walls and then we'll be ready to begin painting and priming. At least I feel like I am making progress on this end.
Heat pump guy came out today to look at the system. He told me what I was prepared to hear, but didn't want to. I'm going to need to get a new one. I had hoped to make it through at least the winter without getting one, but it's just not possible. It's probably just as well. The one that is there had to have been installed when the house was built in 1989 as the manufacturing date is 7/86. However that happened, I'm not sure, but yeah, the thing's as old as I am. It's probably time for a new one. I didn't exactly want to fork out that much cash right now, but it looks like I'm going to have to. At least we'll stay warm this winter as long as the electricity doesn't go out.

| I am cheap! my mom told me I should save my money and buy designer clothes in smaller amounts, but...I don't really care about designer clothes. I'd rather buy stuff from target on clearance. I get bored with clothes fast, so I need a wide selection to choose from! the cheaper the better. |

It's rained here for almost two days now and it poured last night. My gutters were cleaned out when I took possession of the house and now they're filled back up with leaves. I hate having so many trees in my yard. I'll cut them down eventually.
Anyway, thank you to all the veterans who have served our country. I appreciate it.

| So, we're finally priming some stuff. It's taken forever, but it's slowly coming together.
The new Flyleaf CD arrived by UPS today. I'm giving it my first listen right now. I went ahead and got the deluxe edition from Amazon since it was practically the same price as the regular version everywhere else. It's much better than the new Skillet. It seems as if they're getting more bold on this record than the last one. There's less screaming though, but again, the lyrics are much more powerful. I really like the opening track.
The new Switchfoot CD should be arriving any day now. We'll have to see how that stacks up.

I wasn't able to listen to their other CD(s) much because her screaming (and voice) bugged me. But if it's a lot smoother in this CD, I'd be willing to give it a listen.
As for Switchfoot, I got the CD last week and really, really, really like it so far. Hopefully you like it, too.

Yeah, her voice is a lot more polished on this one. I think she's got a pretty amazing voice that would fit well in a lot of songs, but it seems like most people couldn't get passed the screaming. I'm not sure if her voice is smoother because it's been edited in the studio or if she just decided to let her voice shine this time.

Typically it takes two or three for the majority of bands to develop a following. For whatever reason they were able to get it done in one. I imagine the new one will be a love or hate thing. It's a lot more bold, lyrically, but has a much smoother sound.
In other news I found out Day of Fire is coming to a local city next month, but I believe it's on a date when I'll be out of town on my honeymoon. It's part of a local radio station's, "Acoustic Christmas". Needless to say, I'm kind of disappointed, but it really doesn't matter. The tickets are sold out so I wouldn't get a chance to go anyway unless I won them. They're going to be hitting the stage with Pop Evil and Boys Like Girls.

Edit: Found it on the kitchen table safe and sound. Let's hope I can get into it.
Oh, and for those of you that care (which I assume is most) I lost a great-aunt yesterday morning. I didn't even know she had passed away until this morning. The wake is tomorrow evening and the funeral is Saturday afternoon.

I like Flyleaf, and have dabbled in Switchfoot.....(Yeah, I sort of equate Switchfoot to illegal substances at times....)

Hey, at least they aren't the Jonas Brothers.
