I fall into the category of "I really want to play 40k, but I'm too cheap and too scared of the ruleset and lore, so I just play DOW instead."

Aww man, the lore is what makes it so great... The rules are confusing, I still don't understand them all but it is SOO fun... I also enjoy modeling... well.. I've been frustrated here lately but that's because I'm low on time and metal models are hard...

My younger brothers collects some 40K and Warhammer models. I collect the Lord of the Rings variety of them. Rarely play any games with them though.

I have fun just painting them but am really getting to like playing it, too.

I've played one or two games, and they're a lot of fun. Playing is only one small part of the whole hobby though, as the painting/modeling is an art form in itself!
