Overall for mass appeal I have to say the self titled one was the best for being played in large groups.
Their self-produced album (What Was I Thinking) is still my favorite. I remember meeting them in Knoxville back in 1996 and thinking they were the coolest guys. I really haven't gotten into their recent stuff at all.

the main reason I like Southern Hospitality is it somewhat reminds me of their first album....

I liked "The Weak's End" but only because it was a bit more "raw" than "The Question". Both albums are pretty good though.

I think their first one is their best.

Okay...since the subject got changed from Emery I'd like to further change the subject...what was the best Further Seems Forever album? Pretty much a different band on each album.

Actually...the band right before was Skillet and some were still discussing it. Of course...I don't care if it changes...I've never heard Emery.

As far as FSF goes...I don't really care for them either so I have no opinion.

yeah, for me its a toss up, between those two. the first one was solid, but i remember when it came out, hey you, I love your soul was a bit different. it didnt really sound derivative which is why for me it just barely edged out the self titled. also I remember better performances from that era. I saw them much later and it was a totally different band.

although, I always thought skilletLs best songs were slow. more faithful off the initial release is a truly incredible song.

ACTUALLY...Disciple was being discussed RIGHT before that. Skillet hadn't been talked about on this thread for 13 days. I don't really care either...just sayin'...

Oh yeah...I forgot about Disciple. I guess the big thing is that I'm not a big fan of any of these bands...but I do find the conversation interesting.

The best Further Seems Forever album was their first album(The Moon is Down), followed by their last album (Hide Nothing). I didn't find their second album to be overly interesting from a musical or lyrical standpoint.

I'm KINDA in the same boat. I may have liked Hide Nothing even more than The Moon is Down though. They all have their memorable moments.

The Moon is Down was easily Chris Carrabbas best work.
