Because its both a challenge and a chance to show my superiority over an inanimate object.

I know I could fix something you can't.

Half the guys I know, are too lazy and stubborn to attempt to fix something that's broken.

because its my job.

I take that which is useless, and give it new purpose. Usually instruments. Like the 19th century mandolin on my counter right now, having its neck put back together after being shattered into 20 something pieces. (My profs wife thinks it got thrown away 30 years ago, it was her great grandfathers) Its mostly in one piece now. I still need to reassemble the fretboard, and then smooth and revarnish around the glue joints.

I have roughly 20 instruments in my house currently that are being repaired.

All through growing up and college I was broke, so repairing things was the only way I kept things running long past their anticipated usable lifespan. Now its force of habit.

I usually just throw the broken object across the room and yell obscenities at it until it decides to work.

You can't fix women. They'll always be inadequate.

So did we figure out why men are unable to fix things?

Is it because of...

THREAD NECROMANCY?
