Yeah, I dig the VT a lot. I'm using it as the primary tone-shaping device in my rig, since I'm bypassing the preamp on my head. It is really, really versitile, as long as you're not going for a super-clean, hi-fi modern sound. For my band (Aggressive post-hardcore) it works great. I'm running a mild overdrive with the VT, and then running that into the ART Tube PAC that I'm pushing juuuussst to the point of breakup. For big doomy breakdowns, I'll kick on the Hematoma on top of all of that, and it sounds like the end of the world.

By the way, Micha, I'm also on Talkbass.com and I think I've done a couple of quick reviews on the VT there.

Ha, that is funny.
By "as much as everyone else does" I meant everyone on talk bass. I haven't seen your reviews I don't think, but I'll look them up.

After I've had some more experience with the VT, I'll go ahead and put up a detailed article up in the reviews section on TB. For now, though, I haven't had a lot of chances to play it through a large PA system, so I'm kind of waiting to get a little more experience with it that way before I get too in-depth.

I love my effects, Im more of an electro harmonix fan, but if its wierd or cool, then I like it. My current effects chain goes to an EH octave multiplexer, 1970's EH bassballs, Heavily modded (by me) EH Big Muff, Visual Sound Route 66, EH deluxe electric mistress, and a MXR carbon Copy Delay. Mostly I keep the compressor part of the VS on and I use the delay and bassballs alot to create cool grooves. Im currently looking into a snarling dog bootzilla wah and a EH ring modulator. I had the big ring modulator and loved it, but got rid of it because it took up half the pedalboard.
