| 9 A new animated film that promises to begin "a new era in animated storytelling". It's directed by Shane Acker, and produced by Timur Bekmambetov (Watchmen, Wanted) and Tim Burton (you'd better know what movies). Voice actors include Jennifer Connelly, John C. Reilly, Elijah Wood, and Martin Landeau.
"When 9 (The Lord of the Ring's Elijah Wood) first comes to life, he finds himself in a post-apocalyptic world. All humans are gone, and it is only by chance that he discovers a small community of others like him taking refuge from fearsome machines that roam the earth intent on their extinction. Despite being the neophyte of the group, 9 convinces the others that hiding will do them no good. They must take the offensive if they are to survive, and they must discover why the machines want to destroy them in the first place. As they'll soon come to learn, the very future of civilization may depend on them."
Possibly the best choice for music in a trailer ever: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JIpZxBczWUg
Looks pretty good.

When you call anything with harsh vocals "screamo", it makes as much sense as calling anything with distorted guitar "heavy metal". |

| Has to be the best trailer for a movie coming out this year that I have seen so far. No contest.

| Interesting. It reminds me a little of Oddworld, strangely enough. |

| 9 Because the search tool won't allow anything under 4 characters, I couldn't search for a thread on this already started. I did look for several pages and found nothing.
I saw a trailer for this recently, it looks absolutely incredible. Tim Burton out with what looks like another sweet movie. The trailer also featured Coheed and Cambria's "Welcome Home" song, so that made it even more brutally awesome looking. Apple - Trailers - 9
I should add, Tim Burton produced this one, not directed or wrote.

#6 | | It's over 9000!!!!!!! | I loved the original trailer when I first saw it in a theater. The fact that it is only produced by Tim Burton gives me a bit of a question. I am not huge into his stuff, but appreciate some of it.
I think this has potential to be good. Of course, I do love that song, so maybe I'm biased. |

I'll probably watch it in theatres.

Using Welcome Home in a trailer is enough to get me excited about it. Add in Tim Burton and the rest of the trailer and I'm sold.

| Hmmm... I guess that makes sense, considering he was the director of Scissorhands as well. I actuallt haven't seen the trailor in a long time, so I suppose I shoudl go watch it now.

| I found the short film this is based on. I have complete faith that Tim Burton can help expand that into a great feature-length film.
