Bandits?

anybody know more bout the Peavey Bandit amps? i was thinkin bout gettin one but thought id see wat people say first...

I have one. It's alright for what it does. I can get some good sounds out of it and actually have used it live many times.

I do have one question though, which version were you thinking about?

Its a really solid SS amp. The transtube technology is pretty convincing. While alot of the non-modeler SS amps suck. The bandit is a defenite exception. Great cleans and some pretty rippin distorted tones as well. Especially great for the prices they usually go for.

It really depends on the era. The silver-trim Bandits have the most features of the various eras of Peavey SS amps, and from what I've heard they also sound the best. The newer red trim and the older blue trim aren't as highly regarded.

Yeah I meant the silver trimmed models, The ones with the silver trem on the bottom. The newest ones have white-ish trim on the sides akin to the old 70-80's peavey's. Dont know how those are.
