Here's some information on the neck design and the XL series.

We've all got ideas. We are the music makers. We make money to buy things, and write down words.

Wow, that brings back memories.
First dude that I ever saw play guitar close-up was in middle school, probably 1977. A guy from the local music store (The Soundboard) came to my music class to give us a little guitar demonstration. He had a DMZ2000 and I remember staring at the split headstock while he was playing.

I don't see too many of those original Kramers around anymore.
Lead, follow and get out of the way.

cd baby

I remember them from back in the day. My recollection is that they were a neat looking novelty but not all that much. I recall them being harsh sounding. Since I was a drummer I didn't spend much time considering the technical merits of the thing, I just knew it had the same effect on me as fingernails down a blackboard. Back then I was more of a Les Paul through a Marshall stack kind of guy when it came to pleasing guitar sounds.

I played shortly in a band with a guy who had a Kramer and it came and went quickly. It was replaced by a B. C. Rich Bich. The Bich is still around and I think I might get to play it this weekend. He may bring over the old B.C. Rico instead.
