What G said is my issue. We (the mods) like to know who is who. We can't always do that when people use Mibbit. I enjoy Pidgin (which also does AIM, ICQ, MSN and GTalk if you want) a lot, and I've heard great things about bersirc.

I run Bersirc and Pidgin, but when I'm at home and don't have my own Computer, I have better luck with Mibbit than any other online program. Also, some universities block ports for some programs, yet still allow Mibbit to work.

(The Mibbit Interface is obnoxious though)

The one time I used bersirc the whole time I was using it I was thinking "Why the hell is mibbit down! I want that!". The only time I can see using bersirc again is if mibbit is down again.

And gwen has no trouble identifying everyone using the "whois" feature. Takes like 2 seconds. And she isnt even a mod.

Gwen can't identify everybody with whois. Mibbit hides identities.

I didn't realize I could set up pidgin to hook me up with the CGR IRC. I'll have to try it out some time.
