Does anyone listen to this band? They are very hard to describe but I would say they are a progressive melo-death metal band but not in the same vein as As I lay Dying or other christian metal that we are used to. This band has incredible songwriting and musicianship abilites and what I like most about them is they don't have the same vague lyrics that other christian bands do. This band sings about Jesus is such a way that I haven't heard before in this type of music. While I am a fan of the other christian metal artists, it is just nice to have a band that is so bold in their lyrics without being corny or preachy, just passionate. If you are a fan of bands like Opeth, All Shall Perish, or other progressive death metal then you will love becoming the archetype. any other fans?

I own all of Becoming the Archetype's cds and have seen them in concert, one of my favorite Christian bands.

However, I love this band. Probably my favorite band in the Christian market at the moment.

Becoming the Archetype is amazing. I have Dichotomy and the Physics of Fire. Amazing stuff on that. Progressive Death Metal at its best. They said once that they try not to just be a Christian alternative to secular music, but also the BEST metal band period.

Excellent Christian metal band. They're one of those bands who easily stand up to their secular counterparts. Probably one of the most skilled Christian metal bands out there right now.
