Kurzweil or Korg?

Has anyone tried the Kurzweil K2600 or PC2X?

What do you think of them compared to say a Korg Triton Pro X or Trinity Pro X?

I've played around with the Triton a little bit... but I've never had the privilege of messing with a Kurz. The general opinion among keyboard players online who HAVE used both seems to be that the Kurz is the ultimate keyboard on all counts. The only reason one would have to choose a Triton over a K2600 is price. (but with recent price cuts by Kurzweil, this becomes a little less of an issue) However, the Triton is certainly an incredible board. The Kurz just edges it out a little. I think the major point that sets the K2600 apart is the acoustic sounds when compared to Triton's. Triton's acoustic pianos, for example, tend to be a little thin and "tinny"... while Kurzweil's are some of the best ever sampled.

Anyway... I hope this helps. If you still want more info, go check out the discussion boards at www.synthzone.com and www.musicplayer.com Also, you could check out reviews at www.harmonycentral.com and www.sonicstate.com

I still like Kurzweil's (now discontinued) PC-88 with the expansion board better than either of those two (and b/c you can only find them "used," they're a bit less money too....
