Question A calling so challenging...

I really feel like I am being called into leadership,
as do many of my pastors and leaders,
but I really, really don't feel like I am equipped...
I don't know what to do.
Right now I just live my life for Jesus,
and I do all I can to spread the word and joys of the Lord...
But I don't know how exactly to lead a discussion or just lead in general...
I'm a girl of very few words, and I am more of a follower than a leader,
or so I have always thought...
I got a young adults intensive/deep bible study started at my last church,
but once I finally got it started I moved away to college...
I just don't know how to equip myself,
or how to get with God to be equipped for a leadership position.

Any advice?
Thanks, and God Bless.

You can't be in authority unless you are under authority. We all feel unequipped to do what God has called us to do at first. That's why God puts strong leaders in our lives to disciple us. Get underneath somebody you can trust, somebody who can mentor you. Don't just try to start something on your own without being under a spiritual covering. Learn how to be a faithful and obedient follower, and sowing that seed will cause you to become a great leader and God will bring you faithful and obedient disciples.

I'll be praying for you.

You've already got lots going for you. You are humble. Humility is absolutely essential for a good leader. I agree a mentor is also essential. But truly, you need to just pray about this, and continue to be as obedient to the Lord as you can. Be obedient and God will bless what you do.
