Hey thought I would share this lol...

This is a Christian RPG called Spiritual Warfare Role Playing Game.

It was made by two friends of mine. (one though recently passed away to be with our Lord)

Looks interesting, though the mechanic of quoting the Bible to cast "spells" is a little suspect. It also seems a little derivative with the typical Human, Dwarf, Elf, Halfling races. That said, I wouldn't want to judge it before trying it out. If I had some spare cash I might pick it up at some point; my gaming group is composed entirely of Christians, who might be willing to try this game.

Yeah thats what i thought at first... About the scripture thing... There story behind it is... Because demons were able to physically manafest, God made His word do the same. In game Rhema has many different effects... out of game it becomes a memorization tool.... Cause players can't simply look up the verse... They need to know it by memory... They also wanted to make it as simple as possible, but still appealing to big time players... So the game has alot of leeway in the rules, races, and things like that... Like if you look on the forums on the site, we have many other races added... But it is definitely worth it...

i read the review of spiritual warfare, in secular rpg review... seems strange that when you sin you lose faith points.. after you have repented...... i would see it should be different, because it's all God's grace we have faith in the first place.
so that part isnt correct in spiritual warfare the rpg.

i hope it has all the other aspects right

God bless

???

Do you really wield weapons and kill people? How is that how Christians are called to act in the "Last Days?"

I don't think so, but I also don't think this RPG is meant to be super realistic. I mean, there are dwarves and elves and such. It seems like it is meant to be more fantasy reflecting reality. Making unseen spiritual warfare more understandable/believable by making it "real." Maybe? It kind of makes sense, but I'm not sure how I feel about it.

I read an article in an 1980s 'Pegadus' Magazine from Judge's Guild titled 'Monotheisim in Roleplaying' or something to that effect. The writer wrote how he considered good and evil in slightly different terms as a result of being a Christian and how only Christian Clerics should be 'lawful good' in his campaigns. It was actually a lot better article than I made it sound but I still considered it along the lines of nitpicking and I thought "it's called 'fantasy' for a reason".

I had a quick look at the Spiritual Warfare RPG. There doesn't appear to be all that much information about it on the website. Am I right in thinking it's D20 system based on the 4th edition D&D rules?
