He leads the NFL in yards, is 2nd in TDs, 5th in completion percentage and 4th in QB rating. That is why, despite his team's overall poor performance, he is being considered for MVP.
Though personally I think that if a QB is going to be MVP this year, the man it should go to is Kurt Warner. |

Bret Farve is rated only 5 points behind Brees and his team is 8-3 and were terrible last year. Perhaps I shouldn't have posted with a tone that suggests I don't think Brees should be a part of the discussion, but unless they win 3 of their remaining games I don't think you can say he has help his team do enough even if his stats are great. |

If they didn't have him, they wouldn't be able to run or pass. Ack. Then they'd have no offense to go with their lackluster defense. Without Brees, the Saints would be in a league all of their own. Actually, scratch that, the Lions would be there too. |

In the rest of the games they have played as bad as anyone. |

Is anyone else gonna stop the Giants?I dont see it happening til the playoffs at least.
| I am a Giants fan, and I've watched them throw away too many games over the last decade or so to imagine this is true. I'm nervous every single week that they'll blow it, and the one loss they have so far is against.. Cleveland? The Giants can lose games. Eli is good, but he's still young, and is really not that reliable. He's streaky, and so is their defense.
In spite of their record, they've had a lot of close games, and I feel very odd considering them the best in the NFC. Of course, with how odd this season has been, a team like the Giants can pull a 14-2 season, but that's just because there don't seem to be any consistent powerhouse teams in the league; even the Titans have had Collins. He's played great, but he used to lose plenty of games for the Giants.

| Plaxico Burress...a ball player, a night club, and a gun--what a surprise. Burress will miss at least this weeks game and maybe more. I haven't found any reports on the seriousness of the injury and who knows what the comish will do. |
