Anyone seen it? We've been watching the black and white version in Biology class....

If so, I dont get the Bible verse in Proverbs that the title is from... what does it mean and what's it have to do with the movie??

I just watched this movie last night. It bothered me so much. Oh, yeah, and that verse is Proverbs 11:29 - " that troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind: and the fool shall be servant to the wise of heart."
It bugged me how the Christians were portrayed as so, well, stupid. It got to the point where you agreed with the evolutionist because the Christians knew nothing of Science. Anyone else see it and have thoughts to share?

Inherit the Wind is based on the famous Scopes Monkey Trial. I think it's a pretty good play actually...Clarence Darrow(Drummond) was one of my idols for a time. It's an important event as far as understanding the perception of Christianity's relationship with science.
