| Seriously, I cannot believe this Story time:
Friday night I parked my car near my girlfriends house. I parked on the proper side of the road. My car was parked there for about 5 hours (from around 7 pm to 12am). Later that night as I drove home I went over a small dip in the road and I heard my wheel scrape my wheel well. I thought it was odd, but forgot to check things out once I arrived at my destination.
Later today (Saturday) I was driving and again went over a small dip and heard the wheel scrape the wheel well. At one point I had a problem with the plastic on the front side of the wheel coming undone so I figured that this had probably happened again. Once I arrived at my destination I got out of my car and noticed that my front driver side quarter panel was crunched in! Somebody had hit my car and not left a note or anything. My rim is also scratched, as is my tire. Now then, having said all this I know that the hit occurred sometime between 7pm and 12am friday night as my car was parked in the street. Tonight I parked the car in the same spot, realized that the a driveway across the street was perfectly positioned so that a car backing out of it would make the same dent that I now have in my car.
So I took a flashlight and examined all of the cars in said driveway. One of the cars has a rather long scratch on the back bumper about the same width of the scratch on my car. However, there is no dent. None of the other cars parked there had any damage to their bumpers. I am aware however that possibly somebody that was parked at the house, but does not live there (a friend of the family perhaps) could have also backed into my car.
So here's my question; will it be a good idea to go over to their house tomorrow and confront/ask them about the situation? |

| Hmm. Was there any paint left on either your car, or theirs? |

| Perhaps. If you feel that there is a reasonable chance that they hit your car, I might. |

| Hmmm, I would go way beyond saying that there is a reasonable chance. I would say there is a 90% chance that a person pulling out of that driveway hit me, we tried to come up with other circumstances that would have resulted in the same dent and such, but they were all very unreasonable. |

| It just amazes me that someone can do this and think that it's okay to just leave. We're not talking about a door ding here, I'm going to have to pay hundreds to get this fixed, and it's not even an option to just leave it since the wheel is scraping. |

#9 | | Living the Good Life | Ive seen 1 car get a dent and the other come away unscathed because of the different bumper materials, my Grandma's PT cruiser ahem "had a run in with a infiniti G35 sedan" in a parking lot,(I was there) and after she backed into it we saw a couple of paint chunks on her car from the G35 and a dent in the other one. The bumper was plastic....

| Well I guess once just wasn't enough for them, they scratched my car again! (Obviously I will no longer be parking in this spot) This time however, they left some paint on me! One of their cars looks like it has many scratches on the back from multiple cars, which would mean that I might have paint on my car from another car that they scratched. Either way, if they don't fess up to it I will be filing a police report. |

| Take pictures and file a police report or just call the police so that they can be there when you make contact with the other party. Less chance of it getting potentially ugly, imho. |
