| I talked to the owner of the house just a little while ago. It cannot be the car that I though it was that hit me because they currently do not have a key for that car. However she did say that she believes it was probably one of the friends of one of her kids. On Friday night I don't work so I am going to have a stakeout and watch every car that comes by the house, starting at about six and ending about midnight. I will find this person, and they will pay! |

| So I found the car that I believe it is, the person has the perfect amount of black paint on their car to have hit mine. I called the police and was told that unless the other person admitted to doing it there was nothing that could be done. When I asked if they could take paint samples off of the person's car I was told, "This ain't CSI". Seriously? Of course the kid didn't admit to it. So I will be collecting my own paint sample. Does anybody know of a way that I could get the paint checked against mine? |

| the costs won't be worth it, and police won't do that kind of comparison unless it was a hit & run with injuries involved.
Do you have uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage on your insurance? If you do, you can get it covered since it's a hit & run, even though you might not have full coverage. Yes there's still a deductible, but you're going to pay that much to find that yes, it's the same black paint that is on 500,000 cars |

| It seems very likely that it is them, because they are probably used to backing out a certain way and a car is not always there. However, they really have the nerve to back into it twice even after you left a note. Hit and run is a federal crime, so filing a police report with some pictures would be the best option for you.

-James 1: 22-24.
If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning. It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed onto them.

| hit and run is not a federal crime. Potentially fleeing across state lines after felony hit & run could be I suppose, but other than that, it's a local jurisdictional matter. Also, if it's only property damage, the police report is going to be "car got backed into while parked" and they'll give you a copy to submit to your insurance.
They will not be spending manpower to solve it unless you live in a town that has a population of <5k and barney fife for the sheriff. |
