We will have a new song up by the end of the week. We put some finishing touches on our other tracks, added synth to Adam Banks, and I tried my hand at mastering them, and those mixes are now up on our myspace if you would like to go listen and give us some feedback.

I'm loving what I'm hearing. Let me know when you guys have a full-length.

Sure thing. We'll have it done some time this semester.

We've run into some drummer issues. Our original drummer graduated last semester and is now 4 hours away. He's making a trip back to finish up the album but he's not able to play shows. One of our friends volunteered to fill in for the time being but he's already in a pretty serious band on Cavity Records called Eagle Scout (form. Cool Your Jets) so that's making things difficult. We're at a tiny private school so there aren't many available drummers.

Another new song up now titled When The Sky Falls Down. It's our only serious/"deep" song for the album haha.
Note, the new song has some swearing in it, so if you're offended by that sort of thing I'd suggest not listening to it. www.myspace.com/doabarrelrollx

Here's a little update on what we're up to.
We're releasing our full length, titled It's a Gold Mine Down There, digitally on May 15th.
The future of the band is a little up the air. 2 of the members are transferring next semester and over the summer we'll all be in different states. In addition, I'll be graduating in December and going who knows where. So this semester may very well be our last hoorah which is sad but considering we've only been playing for 7 months, 1 of which we didn't do anything at all because we were on Christmas break, and have managed to record a full length by ourselves I think its been a success.

Wow, I really like the stuff..... I like enough to buy the full length, probably. But, it stinks you guys are breaking up, or taking a hiatus, or whatev. Maybe if you get signed real quick you can all just quite school and tour fulltime

Thanks man! That won't be necessary though because we're giving it away!!
How I wish it were that simple haha...to get signed and be able to just drop out of school. Getting signed really doesn't mean a whole lot these days unless it's a major label where you're getting a decent advance upon signing. But even then, 80-90% of bands signed to major labels are dropped after the first album.
So yeah, its depressing haha. It was my intention to come to a college known for music, meet people, start a band then get signed and drop out and tour. Ironically, I took a music business class and found out how unlikely that is.
But anyways, off topic.

Thanks for the kind words
