Tim Lincecum won the Cy Young over Brandon Webb by a sizable margin.

It was well deserved, but it has also been well documented that the Cy Young voters love 20 game winners, which Webb was, and Lincecum was not.

Very good selection. I think the win stat can be misleading because a lot of it can't be controlled by the pitcher. Santana could have had several more wins if not for the Mets bullpen. At the end of the day Lincecum was the most feared pitcher in the NL, as evidinced by his strikeout total. So much more exciting than Brandon Webb.

To me, the race should have been Lincecum vs. Santana. They were the two best, really. Webb is VERY good. But Lincecum and Santana would have both won more games if not for their bullpen. Anyhow, I am VERY happy about this.
