yep guys, back to my econovan. so I was wondering what I could use to remove the rust off my bumpers and side panels, I was thinking of going to pueblo (bigger city) to a junkyard and try to get the parts there, but at that year they would either be rusted even worse or they wouldn't even have those vans anymore. i'm thinking of dipping the fenders and front grill in chrome, that's my next move. also my signal lights broke, I replaced the silver and yellow canisters and they still don't flash, my emergencys work fine so i'm confused, and yes I checked for shorts and I didn't find any.

As far as rust goes, the only 'right' way to do it is to cut it out and start over.... And thus, I will never purchase a vehicle with rust issues.

Did you check in your steering column? Because the emergency flash button and the stalk are 2 different entities. So the lights work, but the controller doesn't.
