Weighted Football

I was hoping for some info from those of you in the know. Does practising with a weighted football really increase your throwing distance? How careful do you have to be about hurting your shoulder?

Thanks anyway.

I used to throw a football in order to increase arm strength for baseball. I would think throwing a weighted football would have a similar impact.

As far as shoulder damage goes, I would think something like a weighted football would be good for slow motion throwing. I wouldn't expect damage unless you are trying to make hard, fast passes with it.
