| Vtec is fine... it could just use a bit of refining, in my opinion..... Something a bit more constantly variable would be nice..... Like Porsche..... |

| Nice Porsche stab. Too bad the Mustang doesn't have an H on the hood, because then a CAI and fart-can would instantly equal 30+ hp. |

Its not my fault that kids go cookoo for cheap reliable and arguably, potentially quick cars.
I'd also like to point out the hypocrisy of it all. Just about every one here likes their cars a certain way. So what if people do things different than you all. I think trucks are dumb, but I won't make negative generalizations about the reasons behind their purchases.
For the record, owning a honda is not a prerequisite in order to do dumb things to cars.
Have a nice day

| No.... but.... dumb car ideas seem to be a prerequisite for Honda ownership.*
I would also argue the cheapness of your average Civic. They've driven the price through the ceiling. And the quickness.... well, it's quite argueable, like you said. In a similar way that the quickness of my Toyota truck is argueable. People like to argue over whether or not I'm actually accelerating.
*This is not actually my opinion, but you made that joke just way too easy. |

As far as quick, I mean to say that because of all the parts available for honda's, they can be made to be fairly quick on a track with the right stuff. You don't see many 90's sunfires and cavaliers running around at the track do you? Nope, cause they suck at being a good place to start.
I would argue that its the dumb idea ppl who are driving the values down of used cars.

The other part of it is the insane demand from every 16-19 year old person in this country. They buy them, mod them, and crash them, creating less of a supply. This also drives the prices up. Quote:

The Cavalier/Sunfire line is crap no matter what criteria you're using, or what you're comparing them to. There are many performance parts available. Most of the common ones do little, if anything. It is possible to make a Civic relatively quick. However, the cost of building a competitive FWD Honda is excessive.
Now, the S2000 is exempt from my statements, as it's actually correct-wheel-drive, and is a very good platform, with good performance out of the box. If I had money, I'd consider one. Quote:
