| For every "quick" Civic that I've seen, there's been at least 10 that people claimed to have had Oh Em Gee horsepower because of a CAI and fart can. |

Now, the S2000 is exempt from my statements, as it's actually correct-wheel-drive, and is a very good platform, with good performance out of the box. If I had money, I'd consider one.
| That's why I own one. I just defend the rest of Honda's fleet for fun.

Or you can have a used M3 with the same drive setup as your S2000, the same horsepower as your S2000, more torque than your S2000, and argueably almost as good of a suspension as your S2000. "Quick" Civics are excessively expensive to build. |

You can bag on Hondas all you want, I don't really care. Its marketing and consumerism to blame here, not Honda.
In the end it is our own responsibility as human beings to know about the things around us and to act accordingly.
How about for every one true Christian, I've met 100 that say go to church and think that = salvation. Does that make knowing God any less worth it?
My love of Honda does not require you to love Honda.

| I've got a co-worker who has a racing civic. An engine swap does not a racecar make. Sure, it's easy to get civics fast, but it's not too easy to keep it that way. FWD is still a crappy platform at best, and from what I hear the drivetrain is really unreliable with high power engine. Broken axles, anyone?

| Can I build a Civic to handle more than 250 whp and corner? I've seen Civics that could corner, and I've seen 250+ whp Civics, but not Civics that could do both. |

This guy has a 2.0 swap (K20A) and has 9lb/hp which for a 2100 lb car is 233 hp, probably at the wheels, which is more than 250 crank hp (if that's what you were referring to) assuming 15% losses.
Since the article does not say outright what the hp figures are, if we assume the 9lbs:1hp was for his race weight then we are looking at even more power up to 263 hp which is either 223 to the wheels or 300+, so probably the latter since it is all motor.
So, here's evidence, not that I would go that route, but if I could get my hands on a $650 shell, I might think twice about "wrong wheel drive".
