| NBA 08-09 Season What's everyone's thoughts on this season?
I'm really excited this season, my team (LA Clippers) has a good chance of making playoffs
And who knows, with a few mid-season trades they may get deep into the playoffs. Also they are going to have a lot of cap room in 2010 when the big free agent market is gonna happen. Le Bron James in LA? I wish. |

| Well several years ago I moved to the Houston area and have been trying to pull for the home team and I don't know what to think. I don't think McGradys failure to produce in the post season is a fluke--some people just can't handle pressure. And I don't know what to think about Artest, he could be helpful, but he comes with baggage.
Before moving to Texas I lived on the Oregon coast, so I still follow Portland a little bit. They should be good over the next few years. They have a lot of young talent. A lot will depend on Oden. Was his broke leg just a fluke? or is he fragile? Time will tell. |

Seriously, he left for Houston, and magically the Kings locker room became a totally different place.
He is undoubtedly one of the most talented players in the league. His defense is superb, and he is a very good offensive player. For the first 6 months to a year, no problems. After that, watch out.
It is like something is wrong with his wiring. If he isn't the center of attention, he makes sure that he becomes the center of attention, usually through negative means, with a week. It never ends.
Anyhow, I am a big Rick Adelman fan, and I know that Ron played hard for Rick in Sacramento, so I really hope that works out for you. I just wish Rick were still in Sac. Best coach we ever had. |

Well im from Atlanta so i at least pull for the Hawks. The young talent has finally started paying off and i think they can make it back to the playoffs this year.I also love the Pistons. They should have a solid team again, but I dont know why they cant seem to do it in the playoffs anymore.

| I think the Blazers will have a solid team this year. They made some excellent additions in the off-season, and finally having Oden on the floor can't hurt, right? |

Take a look at Portlands history with big men. Bill Walton, great center--bad feet. Anybody remember the 1984 draft? Akeem Olajuan went 1st--good pick. Michael Jordan went 3rd--the best 3rd pick ever? Portland took Sam Bowie 2nd--broken leg two seasons in a row, that's about all I remember. Arvydas Sabonis was great in his prime (in lithawainia) but Portland didn't get him to America until he was way past his prime. We could go on all day, but we would still just wind up here, with Greg Oden. |

| Hello All
Raptors Fan here
they look pretty solid from last nights outing. If Ukic , our back up pg, can play like that every game and our bench players can keep it up then it looks like a great season. Hope we fare well against Boston and Orlando. If we can do that we can definitley reach 2+round |

| New Orleans just tore Phoenix apart... in Phoenix. But then they always beat Phoenix, mainly because they play the same style... better. Phoenix still looks solid though. They beat San Antonio in SA's home opener. |

If the first two games are any indication it looks like we're in for another roller coaster of a season...
...the good news is that we have Derrick Rose who looks great so far, I think. |
