#20 | | Cool enough Administrator | The Pistons make that trade because they are determined to change.
The Nuggets do because they can't get past the first round.
Of course, the Pistons aren't going to get any better with their entire roster getting older.
The Nuggets aren't going to get any better without better players coming in without their best leaving. |

| It was mostly a salary deal. Detroit will have loads of cap space for the free agent market in a few years.
Still, I don't see either being spectacular this year. Detroit will be solid, of course. But not spectacular. |

(0)_(0) | I watched the Clippers blow it in the fourth... ahhh i put some blame on the refs for this one though. Is it so hard for them to call a foul on Kobe? |

About the trade I understand it from the Pistons point of view as they give up cap space, but Iam sad to see Mcdyess go and Billups was always theyre clutch man. However Im not sure what the Nuggets are doing with this. You trade for 2 aging players who (Mcdyess at the most)have about 1-2 more years of productivity,Billups maybe 3-4.Kind of even, but not really helpful for either team except for the cap space the Pistons got.

The Clippers got Baron Davis, right? |

| Yeah, BD had 5 fouls so he couldn't play his usual game in the fourth and then the Clips went on a 22-0 scoring drought |

The difference this year will be that the Lakers are taking defense VERY seriously this season, and they have a bench that rivals the starting line-up of most other teams.
In fact, you may as well lock this thread until June, because all other discussion is pointless.
Kidding, of course. Hehe. |

| The western playoffs will be no picnic for anyone, once again. The Lakers could very well go again, but I wouldn't write it off. Utah is 5-0, and New Orleans hasn't gone anywhere. |
