I have replaced a couple of master and slave cylinders in the past. You can definitely do it.

Do you own the repair manual for your vehicle, yet? Because you should definitely buy one. Best 20 dollars you can spend when buying a vehicle.

I bought a haynes manual. Are you sure it just takes some basic hand tools? I heard from a mechanic friend that bleeding the fluid can get sticky...

"Man, you are gonna wanna bench bleed that. Bleeding it under the car is going to be a massive *****"

That's a quote from a mechanic I know. For break lines.

For clutch lines it just takes two people. One person pumping the clutch and the other under the vehicle. It's not too hard at all.

you can definitely do master cylinder for you clutch...it's pretty easy....you're lucky it's not the slave...i had to do one a couple years ago, and it's a pain since it a concentric cylinder(inside the bell housing)

I've never seen a slave inside the bell housing. I don't envy you, Symbiotic.

really?...the slave for the 92-97(maybe earlier, but for sure at '92) Ford's with the Mazda 5-speed are inside the bell-housing....the line connection comes flush with a hole in the housing, where you connect the line....same with the bleeder...

the release bearing sits atop the spring....this one is up-side-down

not cool....turns a 1 hour job into a 5 hour job

interesting that they have a pull type clutch on those ^_^

lots of guys running twin discs switch to a hydraulic throw out bearing because they're pretty slick.
