Alright gents (and some ladies) the time has come for us to celebrate one of God's greatest gifts to us: our facial hair! No Shave November is a month in which we can all drop our razors and see what we got. The idea is to not shave any part of your face (no trimming or shaping) for a month. If sean.thompson can do it for a year then the rest of us can do it for a month! If you are required by work to shave then you should do so, or if your work requires that you trim along the way then that is acceptable too.

So on October 31st shave one last time and then let it all out.

I still wanna grow a little beard, but my mom thinks its' too soon. I'm not sure if I should participate because I can't stand mustaches.

Can I just submit this now and call it enough? I really don't think I can afford to not shape it for the entire month of November unless I trim it back to stubble on the 31st. FWIW, I haven't had an entirely clean shave since...January '07.

There's no official rules, but I would say that since we are only 7 days into October then you can afford to shave on the 31st. I too have gone without shaving in October, but even if I go the whole month without doing so I will still do it on the 31st.

All facial hair is considered good facial hair, no matter the quantity or location. I am very patchy on the side of my face, but I will wear my patchy beard with pride, plus after a month of no shaving hair very well may pop up in places you thought not possible.

It's really up to you, your choice, the choice is yours, do what you want, make your own decision, decide for yourself.

I've already started no shave October, simply so when November comes I can laugh, shave, and remember why I stay clean shaven. My beard skillz = fail.

I would do this if I could trim. But as it stands, a month is long enough for me to look like Grizzly Adams.

I'm definitely in. But I don't really want to shave my gotee before hand. . . I can't handle being without its sexiness until it grows back.

I'm in. This is a pretty big thing around my area. We did it last year and I sent a bulletin around on MySpace, and then I met people I had never met before that were doing it.

My circle of friends keeps it pretty strict. We tend to be pretty competitive. I think this year I'm going to keep a photo-log, too.
