Correct, though "tonto" is more like being silly-type stupid. "Estupido" is "stupid," if I'm not mistaken.

You are correct. 'Tonto' was closer to what she said, though. That's why I assumed it was the intended word....

I had to return to the beginning of the thread to understand what was all the "tonto" thing... "Tonto" is like dummy... "Estúpido" is more offensive (yes, "stupid").

Ehhhh no! Tonto es malo, estúpido es peor. Aunque 'tonto' puedes usarlo para decírselo a un amigo, porque 'estúpido' es una palabra fuerte.
