Pride

K,

so this may be a conversation for just guys...or both guys/girls...

But I want to know some ideas on pride...its been on my mind alot lately..

What is it? How do you know if you have it? Dont most guys struggle with it?

I personally have realized when it comes to helping people i am quite prideful, my youth pastor pointed that out

Plus when it comes to the girl i like...

So what do you all think?

Last Sunday night a lot of cars in were honking their horns after a football game. If that's not pride I don't know what it is.

How do you define "pride"?
It seems like you're suggesting it's a bad thing. If you believe your life is worth living, that's pride. If you believe you made the right choice in any situation, that's pride. When you tell someone you won't steal because it's wrong, that's pride.
Or did you mean arrogance?

Like some others said, I'm not sure I understand what you're asking. What do you do that's "prideful"?

I'd imagine most people, men and women, struggle with pride. I know I do very frequently. It's hard to accept that I'm ever wrong or can be wrong, and I don't take kindly to correction from many people

to be honest everybody is prideful. Usually people are cool with it, and its funny to see sometimes. However despite that its still not a good habit to keep.

It's gonna be here till the end of time, and all we can do is do our best and live with it

Yep, I've seen a lot of threads Shagmar has went around and dug up today. I guess it's the whole contest with the posting.

Anyway, I've been told I have issues with pride. I think sometimes this is true and because of this I have to constantly make an effort to not be prideful. It's something that I deal with more than anything else I think. Some would argue that it should be second nature as a Christian, but I think it's like anything else, some people struggle with it more than others.
