Neither is better than the other, I think they are both equally good. I like a lot of Relient K's music, and a lot of Hawk nelsons music. I like them both

I don't care for either one of them, but at least the first Reliant K song I listened too didn't have anything to do with California so I picked them.

You are both correct. Slick Shoes and Ace Troubleshooter are both superior bands. I would even pick Watashi Wa (pre-Eager Seas) over those two. However, Relient K is 50 billion times better than Hawk Nelson, so between the two I will pick Relient K any day of the week.

Pre-Two Lefts RK is alright. I honestly haven't given anything after Two Lefts an in depth listen, but from what I heard on the radio and in my little sister's bedroom, I don't think I need to.

Actually... Relient K is only slightly less generic and stupid as Hawk Nelson so Relient K wins. However... that's really not saying much.

I hate it when I try to talk to people about their records on Bettie Rocket and no one has any idea what I'm talking about.

I also choose Relient K, for I am going through a phase where I am listening to them lots.

hey you can't change a quote by someone just because you believe that their not good bands doesn't mean other people can't like them.

The answer is John Petrucci will end both bands when he goes into world domination mode.

But yes. I prefer Slick Shoes. I also prefer Dogwood, but I digress.

I'd say Relient k because they're a lot more diverse than HN but I like them both

When it comes to pop/punk just about anyone can make mediocre music. This is where I place Hawk Nelson along with many others. If I'm going to take time to listen they have to do something to make me want to listen. Relient K has this. I'm not even sure what it is about them... funny lyrics maybe? See: Saddie Hawkins Dance, Mood Rings, etc. Yes they are IMHO, very good at coming up with clever lyrics... And so I like them.
