| Tim Thomas is one of my favorite players in the NHL. He's not the best goalie by any means, but he has so much enthusiasm for the game that it's impossible to dislike him. |

| I changed the thread title to reflect where things are.
My Sharks are doing so well... unbelievable. They are 8-0 at home, and Ryan Clowe has been awesome.
Shootout tonight, Sharks winning on the fourth shooter. SO MUCH FUN. |

| The Sharks are definitely ripping it up this year. I think the coaching change did a world of good for them.
The Canucks are turning things around. Luongo has been stellar, posting back-to-back shutouts and Kyle Wellwood has stepped up his game after being sent down to the minors. He now leads the Canucks in goals scored. Shockingly, the Canucks are near the top in the league in Goals For, which is very surprising, as the big question about the team for the last couple years has been where will the goals come from? The answer seems to be "everyone," as they're getting production from a wide range of players. They are getting production from three lines as well as the defense. Now that Luongo's getting into a groove, the Canucks are going to be a dangerous team to play against.
The Rangers are another dangerous team. Naslund is thriving on the change of scenery and Lundqvist is having a solid start to the year. Zherdev, however, has been the big surprise. Anaheim as well, after a terrible start, has played very well lately. Getzlaf and Perry have been outstanding.
Malkin and Semin are both having great starts and are coming out of the shadow of their more well-known teammates, Crosby and Ovechkin. Tim Thomas is once again proving the nay-sayers wrongs with a stellar save percentage and GAA. Buffalo wouldn't be doing as well as they are now without Ryan Miller. He's having a great start as well.
It'll be interesting to see what the Devils can do without Brodeur. Weekes is a solid goaltender with plenty of experience, but he's no Brodeur. I have to wonder if they'll change their style at all to put more goals on the board. |

| Well... Nabokov got hurt last night, and he's day to day. Boucher, his backup, is 2-0 with no goals allowed. Hopefully they can keep that up until Nabby is 100%.
As for the coaching situation, this team fits the "Detroit" style so well, it is amazing. McClellan brought the team exactly what they needed to take their play to the next level. Hopefully, they can play this well in the playoffs, and finally take the big step.
The Rangers are really dangerous. |

| My Leafs have been a big surprise so far, they are hard working, fast, and... yeah well that's it. Still, better than last year, and a lot more fun to watch. |

| The Leafs are playing much better than they should be, unfortunately for them. It's clear that they wanted to blow up the team and do a complete rebuild with a top pick, ostensibly to pick up John Tavares or Victor Hedman. They shouldn't be doing as well as they are... |

| Another exciting home win for the Sharks last night! Patty Marleau scored on a mistake by Turco with just 23 seconds left in the 3rd period.
They are down 3-2 to Phoenix right now, but they've been great in 3rd periods. Unfortunately, this one is not televised. |

And for the better part of this season, he has been leading the NHL with GAA and S%.
And my bruins demolished the Red Wings last night, and every goal was a beauty.
I have to admit, I didn't even expect the Bruins to accomplish this much already in the season. They have been number 1 in the east for a while now. I can't be happier, they are unstoppable right now! Lets just hope they can keep this up. There's a long ways to go till the end of the season.
So, with Luongo out, what do you think is going to happen with the Canucks? This Schneider (sp?) guys seems to be not bad judging by his performance last night. (I didn't see it, just heard all about it). They lost, but for his first start in the NHL, 3 goals isn't something to be ashamed about.

| I'm a fan of ANA and after their slow and inconsistent start, they have really picked things up. Getzlaf and Perry have finally started producing and at a much more explosive rate than I think people expected. They also have Bobby Ryan up from the minors, for what appears to be permanent and he has had 6 points in 8 games. I also like the defense alot with three great skating defensemen in S. Niedermeyer, Hedican, and Huskins, a strong point producer in Pronger not to mention the play of both goaltenders and the amazing powerplay abillities of Selanne.
How about that Rob Blake huh Art?

He's comparable to Tuuka Rask, though he's been outperforming him in the minors. Sanford, Luongo's backup, is also a good goalie. Neither can compare to Luongo, but the Canucks will still have a chance to win every game with those two in net.
The Canucks are on a 3-game losing skid, but I'm confident they can turn it around. |

| How can it be that ice_wiz and I are the only Leafs fans here?! Maybe they're all in hiding... the Leafs aren't doing so hot
However, picking up a first-line forward in next year's draft sounds good.
Anyone out there think Stajan would be leading the team in points and be on pace for 70 points at this point?
