guitar player looking for a band

hi guys, as you can tell by my signature, I play guitar and I may be looking for a band to play in.

My fiance left me and it got me thinking. I haven't really had a chance to use m gift for God as of yet, maybe this is a way I can do that.
Something Christian, Local, and Rock or heavier.
I play at an intermediate level, my only limitations are that my theory isn't very deep yet and I can't sweep pick.

Anyone have any ideas how I can embark on my search?

If you go to shows of bands you'd like to sound somewhat like, i'd just put up posters/flyers about needing band members.

With peace on earth, good will to men.”

I'll do that.
Any other methods of finding a band?

I'm looking mainly for a metal band and it MUST be a christian band .
I can also scream.
I can do everything from extremely high falsetto screams to really low growls and pretty much anything in-between.
my midrange screams aren't as strong as my falsetto and growls, but I can hit just about any note you can think of.
I can supply a sound sample of my screams if anyone interested needs proof.
