that sexy violin sounding delay sound?..

my DL4 has a hi-lo delay option, i really dont understand what it means other than it sounds sexy.
perfect for background, ambient stuff

what other pedals can simulate that sound? the problem i have with it is that it's just too quiet to hear, even with the MIX turned up all the way

I like that sound too, and I think the lowly Korg 301dl does a better job than the DL-4 with it. My favorite has been a Memory Man that needed alignment. The Eventide Time Factor Filter taps could give you something similar.

Well for the recording of YOU ARE HOLY.. on Steppin outs myspace.. our Rythem Guitarist Had Dotted 8th delay set on his DD5... And Quarter note delay on his DD20.. with Overdrive, then BOOSTED it..

Sounded really sexy..

when he left.. i used my Dotted 8th setting on my Echo park and Hi-Lo option with Mix, half way and Repeats at 3 o'clock.

Sounded amazing.. A also started bowing my guitar for songs.. sounds AWESOME with heavy delay and Overdrive...

I am getting some SICK ethereal sounds out of my memory man w/hazarai. You can set the delay and repeats about mid range, add some reverb and use a tone thats kind of thick without too much high end. It also can do some sweet stuff with the reverse and the swell feature for slow string like notes.
