I'm not very well educated in this subject, but I have watched all of the debates and such so here is what I think;

I like the answers that Obama give he promises a lot more my main problem is that he supports abortion and homosexual marriage. two things that I consider more important than my checkbook.

he has openly claimed to be a Christian (whether he is or not I'm not sure, but I dont think a true christian could support murder and sodomy) my other problem is that Obama has absolutely no experiance and I dont think he will be able to keep all the promises he has made.

John McCain promises a lot less but I know he will oppose abortion and other unbiblical practises, and I know that gov Palin is a very conservative person (I believe she is christian too) so I personally would like to see McCain as president even though he wasn't my absolute favorite candidate.

But my point is, so far, only one side has publically called for the other side to be executed for treason. And only one side has actually gone and killed a bunch of people from t he other side, just for being liberals. This is an especially poisonous climate, worse than I remember the 2000 and 2004 elections were.

And when Republican politicians say that Obama is putting his political interests ahead of his country's existential interest—as they have said explicitly in the speeches I've quoted—how is that not an accusation of treason? That is what treason is.
Though you really can't blame the RNC for insane people. And I agree, the climate this election is very poisonous, but on both sides of the aisle.

As for treason:

I think the Republican point is that Obama will pull the troops, which most people at the RNC see as a bad idea, and thus Obama is buying into a bad political idea. I don't think anyone is arguing that Obama is giving terrorists aid and comfort, nor levying war against the US.

Morally important, perhaps. Immediately important? Debatable. It can be arguable that the President's stance on abortion and gay marriage is irrelevant compared to his duties as Commander in Chief, and de facto duty (at least through his first year) as Chief Legislator.

Being pro-choice doesn't make you a supporter of abortion. Obama supporters will say that being pro-choice is a different route to achieving fewer abortions overall.

And saying that he supports sodomy is a HUGE stretch. Republicans may not support gay marriage, but NO ONE is going to make gay sex illegal. That's pure discrimination.

As for experience, he doesn't have much time in the Senate, but he does have experience with law. He also is probably not the least experienced person to become president either. Whether that makes him qualified, I'll leave that open.

McCain promises the same things Obama promises, just through different routes. Compare the stances of each candidate, and you'll see this. Remember, though, that there are plenty of unbiblical practices that are legal, and are not gonna be opposed by either party.

Absolutely. You're deliberately provoking users here on CGR with spurious claims. I see little to no evidence in your quotes that there have been any claims by Republicans that "liberals are traitors." Since you don't have a source, this is getting closed. If you want to have a discussion without the lying, you can start a new thread. If you do have a source, PM me and I'll re-open the thread so you can post it.
