Morally important, perhaps.
Immediately important? Debatable. It can be arguable that the President's stance on abortion and gay marriage is irrelevant compared to his duties as Commander in Chief, and de facto duty (at least through his first year) as Chief Legislator.

he has openly claimed to be a Christian (whether he is or not I'm not sure, but I dont think a true christian could support murder and sodomy) my other problem is that Obama has absolutely no experiance and I dont think he will be able to keep all the promises he has made.

Being pro-choice doesn't make you a supporter of abortion. Obama supporters will say that being pro-choice is a different route to achieving fewer abortions overall.
And saying that he supports sodomy is a HUGE stretch. Republicans may not support gay marriage, but NO ONE is going to make gay sex illegal. That's pure discrimination.
As for experience, he doesn't have much time in the Senate, but he does have experience with law. He also is probably not the least experienced person to become president either. Whether that makes him qualified, I'll leave that open.

John McCain promises a lot less but I know he will oppose abortion and other unbiblical practises, and I know that gov Palin is a very conservative person (I believe she is christian too) so I personally would like to see McCain as president even though he wasn't my absolute favorite candidate.

McCain promises the same things Obama promises, just through different routes. Compare the stances of each candidate, and you'll see this. Remember, though, that there are plenty of unbiblical practices that are legal, and are not gonna be opposed by either party.
