| Music for Youth Band I just got asked to join my youth band as a guitarist and I'm wondering, do any of you guys know any good music to play in a youth band? Please and thank you.

| Sure! I play in my youth band as well, and some of the favorites are "Revolution" by Starfield, and "What the World Will Never Take" by United Live. Another suggestion that I haven't tried yet is Jesus Freak by DC Talk. They would probably like that one. |

| Hillsong United is a really great worship band to get music from... I use them all the time for both youth worship and Sunday morning corporate worship. The Newsboys have some great worship songs that are upbeat and what not... Michael Gungor, Desperation Band, Lincoln Brewster... And then sometimes just revamping older songs can be just as good as doing newer worship songs... Personally, I like to keep it fresh and exciting instead of same-old, same-old.. that's just me. Some people really like hearing the old stuff over and over. I guess it just depends on your style.

| David Crowder Band, Hillsong United, Newsboys, and Third Day are good places to start.

This negatively affected my tone in ways that I just can't describe.
Then, on a whim, a few years ago I wandered into a Bath and Body Works store at a local mall and picked up some of their gentle foaming anti-bacterial hand cleansers.
The difference in my guitar's sound is so wickedly improved that I no longer feel the need to buy a new amp or pedals or even strings...EVER!
So, it's my belief that tone is in the soap.
Thank you and goodnight. | |

| If your group is pretty good and have skilled musicians I would try some of Jeff Deyo's...I got to hear him play worship at the last Youth Convention we went too and him and his band was pretty amazing. Everything needs to be well executed though |
