| New amp time! Well, I love my little Pro Junior, but I was looking for something to give me what I love in that amp, but just a little more. So I've been shopping around looking at everything I can find and today finally bought.... a second Pro Junior! Woo Hoo!
I'm so excited. A blonde, USA made pro junior is on it's way from eBay to join my black/silver one. I got a killer deal on this thing, way too good to pass up. Now to pick out speakers...

| I'm thinking about selling my deluxe reverb and just getting one of these guys. They're pretty awesome.

| Have you tried out the new Fender Vibro Champ XD or the Super Champ XD?
These have intrigued me, but I would want the larger speaker, so it would be the Super Champ XD if I got one. |

| I haven't tried one of those. I've heard good things, but I'm a little turned off by the whole digital modeling preamp thing. Part of what I love about the PJ is that its all tube, one volume knob and one tone knob. It's pure simple goodness without any complications, the perfect canvass to build tone on

| I got the new PJ yesterday. Wow, I forgot how bad the stock speakers sound in these things! Compared to the Weber 10A100T in my other PJ this speaker made the amp sound like a toy. I'm talking to Ted right now for some suggestions on a speaker to pair with the other one and getting a set of JJ's from Bob at Eurotubes.
I have high hopes for this amp after a few simple upgrades, it was a lot of fun playing the two in stereo and I think it will be the perfect solution to get a little more push at bigger gigs.

| I have the Vibro Champ XD. Wonderful little amp. I wouldn't let anything put you off about it. I use it for just sitting around messing around, even recording. I just got a speaker from Ted Weber for my HRDx and it's awesome. I'm probably going to get one for the VCXD.

| I did end up selling my deluxe, and after some "stupid tax" for rushing and buying a Valve Jr. head/cab, I bought the Pro Jr. Love it so far, though there is a hum that I'm going to have to look into.

Most are good, but some have hum problems. I got lucky and both of mine are dead quiet. I've heard that the two most common culprits of hum in these amps are the V2 tube and the wiring. Make sure you get a good reliable graded & balanced tube for V2. Then, cut the straps holding the wires inside together and twist the heater wires together and make sure they are crossing all other wires at 90 degree angles. From what I've heard from others this should solve 95% of the hum issues in these amps

| Do you find that the 10A100T tames some of the high end?

Compared to the stock speaker it is very smooth and deep sounding. It really improves the low end, but it isn't very tight. It's a horrible speaker for country... it gets better at higher volume though, at a gig paired with the second amp with a brighter speaker it makes a good mix.
I have a Celestion G10 Greenback and a G10 Vintage on the way, I'm excited to compare these speakers to the other ones! I've heard good things about the new G10 greenbacks

| It sounds very nice. I've read similar things about the Sig 10, maybe they're what I'm looking for. There is plenty of high end, way too much for me.
