Check please?!

So, I see that my journal got moved/deleted so I'm gonna start a new one.. a nice clean, non-cheap journal..

I titled this journal "Check Please?!" because of recent situations in my life where I want to get out and run away.

Most recently, my relationship with my girlfriend ended so I'm pretty much in a state of depression. It wasn't one of those crazy dramatic breakups.. it was calm, rational, and reasonable. I don't know what's gonna happen in the future so I'm just holding on to whatever I can to ride out the storm.

Anyways, to catch up where I am today (it's gonna be random)... I'm Nick, I'm 19, I work at a water district in Southern California as a Water Quality Technician, I live at home with my parents (until somewhere around 2/2010), and I play guitar. Currently one of my major hobbies has been video games (Xbox 360, Call of Duty 4). My best friend moved out of town this week so I'm pretty much alone except for my lil sister. She's pretty cool.

I like music.. I am constantly listening to my iPod. I think that's one of the things that helps me through life right now. I've been playing guitar for 9 years now and I can't think of any better gift God has given me just because playing my guitar is one way I get a lot of stress out of my system.

Airsofting is another one of my hobbies.. but this summer has been a lil too hot to have games outside. My pistol broke the other day so I gotta take it apart and fix the hammer. Oh, what joyous fun!

Anyways, I'll try to update often..

Actually, your journal is still here in the W section, about two threads down. Now, if you want to start a fresh one, I can close or delete the old one and let you begin anew. Or, if you prefer, we can have this new one merged with the "Make your prayer a Song" Journal you last posted in back in May

Either way, I greatly support the motion of nice, clean, non cheap journals.

A new day begins..

Last night my lil' sis got some pizza for dinner. Then later my mom and dad joined us in the living room for a movie. It was a good time together, but the movie kept reminding me of stuff that didn't help my depressed mood. Afterwards my lil sis and I hung out in my room and just sat around.

Today, I woke up with no desire to get out of bed or do anything but sleep.. but here I am at work listening to my ipod wishing it was 3pm so I could go home.. and that's what's going on right now..

Books.. I was thinking I could post my favorite books while I can't concentrate at work..

I've currently been reading Harry Potter.. yes, I am a heathen, lol. I'm suprised at all the criticism Rowling has received because of all the "witchcraft" in the books. It's nothing more than the same witchcraft in Lord of the Rings. It's nothing more than fantasy witchcraft like that of Disney cartoons. I really enjoy reading them. I'm on the Order of the Phoenix. It's taken me about a year and a half to get there but I'm almost done! My lil sis read them all in 3 weeks!

Sometimes, the calm, rational breakups are the most disturbing, because you don't have a single event or problem to blame them on. I dated a girl for three and a half years, then she broke up with me when I was 19. It was a rough time following that for a while.

Yeah, no kidding. I've only had those kinds of breakups.. and they suck. I just gotta remember that God has someone for me, and all I gotta do is wait. I honestly thought she was the one (and she still may be), but if not, trusting God is my only refuge from the pains of this world.

Well, my day in the office is almost over. I've got 38 minutes left and it's gonna be a long 38 minutes.. lol. anyways.. I did the usual routine for Fridays and did it quite fast this week. I'm ready for my three-day weekend and a good time with my good bud Chris.. He's back in town for the weekend and we are gonna lead worship for the youth at church on Sunday. My stomach is aching cause I haven't eaten all day.. the pizza in the fridge is sounding amazingly good right now!

anyways.. i'm just gonna keep browsing the forums and see what interesting posts pop up..

Well, it's been about a week since I last posted anything here so I thought I give an update for those who will actually read about my pathetic life, lol.

Today was an okay day.. I got to get out of the office for about 2 hours and drive all around the water district. It was quite nice. This weekend looks like it's gonna be pretty lame now that I'm single, but who knows?

Tonight is college Bible study then I'm hanging out with some friends after that. I'll probably grab some redbulls or something and stay up for awhile playing xbox live.. since I have no life.

Also, I'm still having a hard time with the breakup, so if anyone will pray for me, it would be much appreciated. I guess I'll post something later then.. Everybody have a good night.

Congrats on your marriage! Hope it's long and awesome!

And congrats as well on your 2,500th post, although that might be slightly less exciting

It's terrible...

So...I really have no idea who you are

What do you do? What do you do for fun? Any amazing talents? Favorite vacation spot? Pets? Do you want kids? Any odd collections? Myspace or facebook? Do you like spaghetti?

I'll let you start with those

haha, my name is Nick. I work for a water district. I love to spend time with my wife. We are going to Maui next week so I'm guessing that's gonna be my favorite vacation spot lol. We have two mice and a hamster.. but we kinda want to get rid of the mice. We want 4 kids. No odd collections that I know of haha. Both. Yes, but lasagna is better

What about you? (same questions)
