Just had to get that out Wow, that was an amazing win by TTU last night, their defense sure rattled the Longhorns for a while! Great comeback by Texas (especially once McCoy started to get his rhythm back), but I can't say I'm dissapointed that Tech got that last minute TD. Shoot, that ball should have been intercepted in the last seconds of the game during the play right before the winning TD! I thought it was funny how those Tech fans got TTU 2 unsportsmanlike conduct penalties for jumping the field too early .
Well, my teams finally #1 since winning the 1992 NC, and #1 in the regular season for the first time since 1980! Now, I'm just praying that we beat LSU in Baton Rouge, finally break our 6-year losing streak to Auburn (who is terrible this year), and beat what looks like Florida at the SEC championship game in ATL (unless Florida gets VERY unlucky in their last few games). Now, I pray, that November is good to us as #1, but I've got faith can pull through this with focus! I'd love to see an old-school-like matchup between PSU and Bama in Miami......but I guess we'll just see.
I am also glad to see that Texas didn't fall behind the Sooners in the BCS. What an injustice would that have been if they fell behind them when they beat Oklahoma earlier this season! However, I still think Florida should be #3 at least, have you seen the Gators play?! They are AMAZING! Just got VERY unlucky against Ole Miss. Again, we'll really have to put our game face on against them in Atlanta!
ROLL TIDE!!!! (to any of my Bama fans out there ) | I believe you've also lost two in a row to Mississippi State... |

I honestly would love to see the top 4 Big 12 teams go up against the top 4 SEC teams.Im kinda hoping for a TT/Texas/OU-'Bama/Florida matchup in the title game.I REALLY want to see a Big 12/SEC game.

| I'm calling UF vs. PSU in the NC game, as is NBC sports.
Alabama is good, but FL is on fire. Tebow has been absolutely on fire since the Ole Miss loss. He is going to do anything and everything to make sure it doesn't happen again. I respect Alabama, but they better be ready for the SEC game it Atlanta... I'll most likely be there. |

You have PSU which doesn't have a hard game on their schedule.
Traditionally OSU and Michigan are good... The former has had a very mediocre season, the latter has had an abysmal one. There are other OK teams, but none of them have any strength of schedule. |

| Ohio State lost to USC and PSU. Between them, they have one loss. Penn State is undefeated. The claims that all of these other teams would beat them easily are ludicrous. And I hate the Big 10. Sure, a few of those teams *might* run the table in the Big 10, but that is a big might. |

St. and the accomplishment Croom has made over there, but Bama was 7-6 and 6-7 those seasons, had an inconsistent QB, and an incompetent and losing coach for one of those seasons.
And how about Phillip Fulmer at Tennessee being cut loose today? Even though as a Bama fan I'm not fond of him, he has done a LOT for the Vols (including getting the Vols the first ever BCS national championship in 1998). Shoot, they just won the SEC East last season! I think their terrible season this year is related to their lack of a coaching staff and not really to Fulmer himself.

| Alabama pushed to the limit, and Penn St. takes a fall.
Right now I think Texas Tech is playing about the best out there. I'm looking forward to their game against Oklahoma coming up. |

| There is still a lot of potential for change at the top. Especially since TTU plays Oklahoma in two weeks.
In my opinion, if the season ends with both TTU and Alabama undefeated, that is definitely your title game.
Anything other than this ends in controversy. All of the teams 1-7 have high profile wins against top teams. I do not see how you can compare some of them, and that makes it almost unfair to any of the other one loss teams to be left out.
Playoffs? Yeah, it's way past time. |
