| Funniest Setup you ever played on?? Well.. ive come a long way from my old set up haha ..
But what is your weirdest setup you have ever GIGGED on .. Im talking about GIG. not just at home playing to all your crowd of 1
Mine is...
My LP into>Route66 Comp/Overdrive>Korg Toneworks Ax3000 Processor> Ibanez TS9> ROGUE120 watt amp..2 x 12..
it was Random and weird.. but whatever it worked... I played a Gig that was recorded By INSP Channel with it..
if you go to my bands myspace you will hear me playing with that setup on 2 of our recordings.. haha..
.. only reason why i had to use the Toneworks is because MUSIC123.. CANT SHIP STUFF ON TIME... over $500 dollars worth of effects didnt ship on time so i didnt get them for the gig...
bleh.. but the Korg Toneworks was Awesome. I wish i had it back.. It was $250 at that time on MF so yea.. not that bad.. now you can get a new one on MF for $200 bucks.. thinking about it.. but i need a DD20 more.

#2 | | Baby #2 is here! | My sister's bass amp was stolen...
For a practice, we rigged up my vox pathfinder 10 practice amp...I unhooked the leads from the speaker and plugged it in to one of those 8 inch carpeted subwoofer tubes people buy for their cars.

| Gig? Probably my Epi Emperor II and a banjo with a mic taped inside it (literally, a full SM58 duct taped inside a banjo), both into two separate channels on my Behringer mixer, direct to board with a Fender Frontman 15G as monitor. Worked well for what I was doing at the time.
Another notable concoction includes an acoustic pickup made out of a spare single-coil (form a cheap strat copy) wound up with some twine with a couple paper cutouts to fit the soundhole, put into my Seagull SM 12, and rigged up to a Roland keyboard amp.
I've had to use bass amps on many an occasion. Using a bass amp got easier after I got my POD.
As you play longer, you start having a lot of strange stories to tell. |

| I had to fill in on Bass once and didn't have one so I used a strat with a whammy pedal set an octave down and played direct to the board. strange, but it worked ok.
Before I got my first amp I used to plug into a 1/8" microphone jack on my parents bookshelf stereo. I had a couple times when I jammed with some friends and would have to bring the stereo out to the living room to plug into. The best part is we were playing Metallica songs
I also had a situation where I was playing in Hong Kong and couldn't bring gear over there so I bought a Gretsch guitar with a bolt neck and one pickup for $90 that I took apart and put in my suitcase and played through a Mesa V-Twin direct to the board the whole week... That was a fun time
So how did the bass sound through the subwoofer?

| Before I got my POD XTL, my church setup was a $2000 pedalboard into a Line 6 Spider II with the signal going to the board through the amps direct-out. Sounded like utter crap...I was so much happier with my tones when I got the POD.

| I'm soo set in my live rig that I've never gigged on anything different. However! I have, once, played on this rig at auditions for a band I didn't know I was gonna audition for and thus didn't have my own rig...'
Gibson Les Paul Studio -> fulltone fulldrive -> TS808 -> Crybaby - > Digital Delay -> Amp I didn't recognize -> fx loop into podXTL-> y splitter...
Right side back into amp into 4x10 cab. ( I REALLY liked the response from the 4x10... I'm thinking about getting a 4x10 cab and using it in addition to my 212 combo....I don't know if it'd sound well, but I'd like to try it at least)...
Left side into a front input of a small Crate amp...
Both mic'd...
I'm sure there was some reason for it... though that's something I'll never know...

| I used a portable stereo with a distortion pedal once. It sounded pretty bad. |

| Funniest/strangest set up I have ever used was my guitar into a Marshall mg15dfx, using its line out to go into a karaoke machine/amp, and using its line out to go into a roland keyboard amp. All stacked on top of one another.
Line out from the roland went into a small mixer.
I got shocked quite a few times when I tried to get near the mics.

| For strange things I have not gigged with, I've rigged up an old portable tape player with a 1/4" jack to make a primitive headphone amp... OD on that was pretty rad. |
