| NFL '08 - Favorite Team and Season Predictions my favorite team is the dallas cowboys. i think they will go 13-3. the only teams that i think will give them a hard time is pitt, phil, and possibly nyg. the schedule, being in the nfc east, is difficult but i think they can come out on top even if they split the series w/ phil and nyg. strengths - a starting lineup on both sides of the ball that can matchup well with any team in the league. offense is improved w/ marion barber starting and felix jones (i think he will have a good year. he looked really good in the preseason). good o-line, good d-line. romo, witten, to, barber...so much talent. weakness - depth. they dont have a good reciever after TO. romo still has not won a playoff game. they cannot get injured. safety position is still weak w/ roy williams in pass coverage. the verdict is still out on pacman (he could either be a really big + or a really big -)

| Wow...this is not a cop out...I promise, but I TOTALLY agree with Paul!!!
My only difference is that I would say that Crayton and Stanback are great receivers.
I echo the comment about roy williams...I wish they would have made him linebacker and got a better safety..

| I dont like our chances(Atlanta). What could happen-Matt Ryan starts after the 1st or 2nd game and is one of the incredible rookie stories(AP),goes on to get ROTY and leads a somewhat talented offense(Michael Turner,Roddy White),mostly relying on White in a good year to make up for a rebuilding defense and maybe grab a wild-card.What probably will happen-bring Ryan along slowly-or worse-start him right off and he busts.Redman starts for at least first 4-6 games and does enough to win 1 or 2,but our defense gets mauled in too many games to contend.Idk.Chalk it up to a rebuilding year-4-12,5-11 and out of playoffs by mid season.

| The Falcons picked up a great RB in Michael Turner. Had he been playing anywhere besides San Diego for the past four years he probably would've started, or at least been part of a committee. Of course, I don't know how well your O-line is.
I suspect San Diego to make another playoff run this year. Not a lot has changed between this year and last. If Rivers and Tomlinson both start off the season fairly healthy, then expect to see a team similar to the '06 Chargers that did so well. It'll also be interesting to see what happens with Shawne Merriman and his bad left knee. Apparently he is going to try to play on it. |

| Another Cowboys fan here. I still think we were the best NFC team last year despite poor pass defense, we just peaked at the wrong time. I still want to see them play well during the regular season but I would like them to hit a high coming into the playoffs. I don't think Romo choked last year, but he definitely could have been a better leader. While he made few mistakes, he let the team behind him completely collapse. And if anyone says they lost last year because he went to Mexico I will punch you in the face through the internet.

| With JT O'Sullivan, we don't have a prayer. My poor 49ers. Hopefully, they wise up and put Alex Smith in the #1 roll soon. |

| I'm a Tennessee fan...hopefully we can build off last year, and make the playoffs again (and this time win!). I'm really hoping Alge Crumpler will help Vince Young's development, and Chris Johnson can be the perfect complement to Lendale White in the backfield. The defense should be solid again, like they were at the end of last season.

| Cheesehead here. Looking forward to seeing how Rogers goes this year. I like him, especially from the way he stepped in v Dallas last year.
Still hoping for a consistent RB to step up but, here's hoping.
Defence is pretty strong, room for improvement of course, but we'll see after a few weeks

| KC Chiefs fan here, and struggling to make progress is typical under a coach like Herm Edwards. I sense this is his prove it or move it year. New leadership under Clark Hunt will require results, or I can see Edwards being dismissed (possibly with Carl Peterson) by seasons end.
On the field, KC's chances start and end with the play of 3rd year player, QB Brodie Croyle. He has talented receivers in Bowe and future hall-of-famer Tony Gonzalez, and depending on his mood (and the new offensive line) Larry Johnson could take some pressure off him, but early mistakes could bust the season quickly. On defense I expect progress from a very weak unit last year. I expect rookie Glen Dorsey to step right in and garner some rookie awards, but overall there is too much talent in the AFC west to really contend this year.
I would be happy if we could squeak out 6 wins.
edited to add: I read today where Chad Johnson has legally changed his name to Ocho-Cinco. Can't wait until he gets traded to a team where that number is already taken, ha.
