I was wondering the same thing. It seems like an odd book to force yourself to read.

Because I'm the president of my local chapter of "The book was better than the movie" club... It's coming out next friday and Steph wants me to take her to see it, and I'm not gonna be the only doofus there who hasn't read the friggin book.

*Edit*

That was a large amount of sarcasm just in case that didn't come across...

I'm reading it because Steph really liked the books and I started it and I can't not finish a book...

Haha, fair enough. Hopefully you'll like the movie better than the book this time.

Just finished Twilight... It actually ended better than I thought it would. I will probably read the second book.

I read all the books.

It's like eating oreos. You know that they contain no nutritional value, to have to many is bad for you, but eating them is definitely an enjoyable experience.

I'm still sort of embarrassed that I like these books, considering that I'm 22 and they're definitely aimed at the preteen-teen girls, but hey, I thought they were lots of fun. And one of my friends is one of the random high school students in the movie, so another reason to like.

I just picked up a copy of Twilight yesterday at a book fair in school. Finished the first few pages. When I'm done with the book, the movie is next.

How are you liking it so far? To me, "Eclipse" and "Twilight" were the best books in the series. I didn't like "New Moon" very much, and "Breaking Dawn" just seemed to have too much of a happy ending.

Has anyone read the cleolinda recaps on livejournal?

They are hilarious. Perhaps PG 13 rated but still excellent:

http://cleolinda.livejournal.com/630150.html

She has chapter by chapter recaps of New Moon and Eclipse, and multi-part recaps of Breaking Dawn and Midnight Sun.

I read the first one and really enjoyed it, at least I enjoyed the story. I guess the way to put it would be that I liked the story but hated the writing which was my experience with Frankenstein but that's a different story. No pun intended.

I'm 27 and loved the whole series. Read the whole series in a week, when I was on holiday.

I'm liking it. I got past the part where Bella finally met the dad after Edward saved her from the car accident ending up in the hospital. Still stuck on a few sections due to summer reading. I may have gotten to a part where Ed wants Bella to avoid him or something, but i should read it more.

Sorry for responding late btw.
