Photo Challenge #11: Voting
Abstract

The challenge is to take a photo of something that might normally be recognizable, but take it in an abstract way. What exactly the photo is of should not be easily recognizable, though I think there can be a little leeway in terms of recognizability if it's apparent the intent was the abstract composition of the photo.

One specific ground rule for this challenge: Taking a photo of an already abstract piece of art does not count.

Here are the entries (in no particular order). Voting should be based on technique, creativity, and how interesting the photo is while within the challenge's criteria. Voting will be open for one week after this posting, and the winner will be able to choose the next challenge. Voting for yourself is discouraged.

I picked Emo_Rachael's and Apparently Nothing's . Lots of great stuff, but these two stand out to me.

Well, I actually voted for RedBandrew and PontiusChelsea. There were so many that came close, but I just love those. The tonality in Andrew's is beautiful, and Chelsea's just looks so raw, as well as being compositionally exquisite.

Voted for Rainer and Jump5Fan 'cause they were the only 2 that struck me as abstract. They both had me going back for a second look saying, "huh?"

Jump5 and Pontius for me. I almost picked Airsoft's because I thought it was unique how he sculpted the foil before taking the shot. It looks really otherworldly in the thumbnail size from the other thread, like a blob of alien metal. The texture and color of the foil and the shape of the sculpture really stand out.
