Every nation's leader says the time has come to fight, but they use the common people, to settle their scores. It's time that we refuse to fight in any of their wars! We're looking to start a new kind of army, (that's) too smart to fight, too smart to die; we're looking to start a new kind of army, (that's) too smart to fight, too smart to kill...for you! JOIN NOW...the ranks of all nations who refuse to go to war REFUSE...to pull the trigger of a gun for leaders 'round the world. I'd rather fight to spread some tolerance and unity than buy into their nationalistic brainwashing, killing mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, common human beings, not savages but people, like you, like me! Thank you. I have acted some in a play. A very small part. I got to run on stage mug someone and then run off.

Wheee! Once I caught the 24 hour stomach bug on a day that we were performing a melodrama (I was the villain) and I almost threw up on stage. I had to leave before my exit and I just threw up backstage. It was slightly nasty.

This spring, our class is doing All I Ever Really Needed to Know I Learned In Kindergarten. Wahoo! It looks to be a lot of fun.

Ach. I thought of another story. I was in "Oh! What a Tangled Web" (it's a one act, kind of a farce) and this girl was supposed to have a cake and flick the knife as she talked. Well, some cake flew off the knife and fell on the floor, and in front of the entire audience, out of blind impulse, I picked it up and ate it. I hope they thought that it was in the script...
Anyway, it tasted good.

I LOVE acting!! I didn't even get started until I was in college, but I wish I had gotten into it much earlier!

My favorite roles have been:

"Martha" in The Secret Garden
"Polly" in Crazy for You
"Anita" in West Side Story
"Sister Amnesia" in Nunsense II

I would really like to do Shakespeare sometime, but it isn't done much in community theatre . I work too much now to be in any big productions so I miss being on stage pretty bad!
