As much as people might hate me for saying this, The Watchmen looks a little more interesting to me. Plus, we only have to wait till next year for it.

When you call anything with harsh vocals "screamo", it makes as much sense as calling anything with distorted guitar "heavy metal".

It seems like an odd things to say since Avengers is several years out and most of the people haven't been cast yet. Have you read The Watchmen or The Ultimates?

No, but from this list:
Quote:
Nick Fury - 2010
Ant Man - 2010
Iron Man 2 - 2010
Thor - 2010
Captain America - 2011
Avengers - 2011
...Iron Man and Captain America are the only ones that really interest me. Maybe I'm just real excited to see what the director of 300 does with The Watchmen.

Samuel L. Jackson is apperently very pumped about playing Nick Fury. In fact in an interview from Comic-Con he said he really doesn't want to wait 3 years to do an Avengers movie. He would love it if they'd call him today. He also seemed to indicate that he'll be in Thor, Captain America and Iron Man II before doing Avengers

Samuel L. Jackson is perfect casting for the Ultimate Universe version of Nick Fury, who is essentially based on Samuel L. Jackson in the first place.

Yeah. My old school purist is unhappy with Jackson as Fury, but I also realize that Ultimate Nick Fury IS Samuel L. Jackson.

I forgot Samuel L. Jackson was part of this. Now I'm interested to see it. (the Nick Fury movie, at least)

The Avengers movie has been delayed to May 4 2012, almost a year back from its original date of July 15, 2011. [source]
