I've been thinking...

When Stan Lee passes away in the future, I seem to wonder about what will become the future of Marvel Comics? Because a similar situation happened with Hanna Barbera when Bill Hanna died. That signaled the end of an era. Do you think the same will happen when Stan Lee dies?

Stan Lee hasn't had anything to do with Marvel Comics for years now. It will be very sad when Stan Lee passes, but it won't make a bit of difference to Marvel.

I also thought he did because of his cameo appearances in various Marvel movies.

Stan Lee no longer does any writing of any sort for Marvel. The only thing he does now for Marvel is cameo in movies.

Skeeter's right. In fact, Stan Lee's role in the formative years is overplayed as well - take out Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko, and you'd have no Marvel Comics.

But Stan Lee hasn't had a hand in the shaping of plot and characters in Marvel comics for quite some time. That era is over.

A better question might be, what will happen to the mega-super-ground-breaking-hit reality series" Who Wants to Be a Superhero?" when Stan Lee is gone? This show has not only given earth a new defender, Feedback, it has also given comicbook buyers a wonderful new comicbook "Who Wants to Be a Superhero? The Winner is Feedback."
