Smile Hey all! I'm new here +I wanna start learning Japanese

Hey everyone!
I'm new here, so first I'll introduce myself a lil'.
I'm Stas and I live in Israel.
I speak Russian (my native language), Hebrew (second), English (not perfect) and I learn French in the school (2 years now).

I want to start learning Japanese =)
The culture is really cool and I love Japanese people and everything..
Can you suggest me some sites or something to start with?

Thanks!
Nice to meet you all!
~Stas

I haven't started to learn Japanese yet, but I plan on starting this fall. Here's a website you might want to check out:

Nice to meet you too, and welcome to CGR!

Hello two-year old thread. ^^

Just wanna introduce another site for learning Japanese that I like to use:
studyjapanese.org

Some Japanese speakers, intermediate, and beginners on the site.. a good mixture, and generally very friendly and helpful people!

Tonight I lingered over your name,
the delicate assembly of vowels
a voice inside my head.
You were sleeping when I arrived.
I stood by your bed
and watched the sheets rise gently.
I knew what slant of light
would make you turn over.
It was then I felt
the highways slide out of my hands.
I remembered the old men
in the west side cafe,
dealing dominoes like magical charms.
It was then I knew,
like a woman looking backward,
I could not leave you,
or find anyone I loved more.

I can't think of any sites off the top of my head, but I've actually been studying Japanese for the past 5-ish years in college.
